Dancing and Things

The blog of a university student. Here to write down what's happening after finishing my first year of university, and what I plan to do afterwards. Nothing special. Just here to write it all down and record it all. What's happening in the present and what I hope to do in the future, and look at the past to see if I can learn from it. I have no intentions in getting people to read or follow me. This is all for me to record what I do and think and feel. Have fun.

Usually I’m fine with Otherkin. Yeah, I think it’s very rarely an actual thing and more often people trying to be different, but whatever.

But goddamn. As usual, if you think one thing is okay suddenly everything has to be. For
fucks.
Sake.

If you “identify” (yes, I’ve seen all of these) as a…

I told Sean about otherkin and he couldn’t stop laughing.

You have to admit, the concept of being the wrong species is kinda hard to wrap your head around.

Like, in every aspect, like, there’s almost no way you can actually hope to gain any semblance of understanding of the individual aspects of…

A group of Christians showed up at a Chicago gay pride parade in July.
They were holding up signs saying “I’m sorry that Christians judge you”
“I’m sorry for how the churches treated you” and “I used to be a bible-banging homophobe, I’m sorry”

Just when you’re beginning to lose faith in humanity, something like this shows up.

Never not reblog
it’s people like these who make the world happier.

Things To Talk about (6)

Dysphoria is a word used SPECIFICALLY for gender dysphoria. It has been created SPECIFICALLY for people who’s brains say they are one gender, but their bodies aren’t that gender in real life. This word is SPECIFICALLY used for transgendered men and women. THAT”S IT!!! I feel for those who are otherkin, as it is something important to you and how you feel in your bodies and how you live in society. But you are using words that have been created for a specific use of being transgendered, that many people have put much blood, sweat and tears in creating this vocabulary for the world. It upsets people who have worked so hard in creating this vocabulary to help educate people in the world for this SPECIFIC thing,  and then to have a group of people use this vocabulary as this other group don’t have a vocabulary to define who and what they are to educate the world. That’s why the LGBTQA are upset when otherkin use this word and vocabulary. They are accepting, it just upsets them when people try to take credit in something that isn’t there’s. If you want people to understand you, then get scholars and social workers, and psychiatrists to come together and create a SPECIFIC vocabulary for otherkin to educate the world. If you truly want to become integrated and accepted into the society and culture of the world, instead of latching onto things and vocabulary that wasn’t meant for you, go out and create a vocabulary that clearly describes and defines what is otherkin so the world won’t shun and be not accepting of you. The LGBTQA have been oppressed for many, many, many years so they get it. They do. They feel for you, and they sympathize for you. They would gladly help you find a way for you to integrate otherkin into society. So please, don’t be upset with the LGBTQA with saying otherkin cannot use dysphoria in context for otherkin, as it was never meant to be used in that way. They do not hate you, or oppress you. They accept.
